What are the visiting hours?
At UMR, we have no visiting hours. Families are subject to current conditions and level of patient care. Otherwise, they are welcome any time!

Can I stay the night?
You may stay the night with your loved one. However, this must be prearranged with hospital administration and the patient's doctors.

Will I be able to be involved in therapy sessions?
UMRH Gonzales has an established therapy viewing room which families and friends are invited to observed their loved ones over closed circuit TV.

How long before my loved one comes home?
Length of stay is governed by precise diagnoses and is individual to each patient. Typically, patients are with us for 12-14 days.

What types of exercises will my loved one be expected to do?
At UMRH, we offer three types of rehabilitation: speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy. The specific exercises asked of each patient is decided by a team of medical experts and is based on specific diagnoses of each patient.
